Certified Circuit Civil Mediators
Two of our lawyers, Larry Leiby and Harry Malka, are certified as Circuit Court Civil Mediators. In most Circuit Court civil cases, mediation is a mandatory step prior to going to trial. When disputes are brought into the mediation process, a Mediator hears both sides of the dispute and assists the parties in developing a solution that works best for them. While mediation is not guaranteed to settle a dispute prior to trial, it is a collaborative process that allows the parties to determine the outcome of their case, instead of allowing a judge or jury to make the final decision.
Specialized Experience in Mediating Construction Law to Business Disputes
If you are experiencing disputes over a breach of contract, non-payment of services or any dispute in Civil Court (aside from family law matters), our certified Circuit Court Civil Mediators stand ready to help you. With years of experience handling construction law matters, our attorneys are also able to bring extra knowledge to the table.
By choosing to participate in mediation before suit, you will be saving both time and money. Litigation may take years to complete, while a resolution may only take a day in mediation. In the mediation process, all parties involved have the chance to air their grievances before a third party neutral sounding board, while being able to sculpt the details of the resolution.
